IMPORTANCE OF GITA

  • If we make it a point to read GITA difficulties get translated into challenges, which are addressable and even enjoyable to overcome.
  • GITA contains a treasure of knowledge the applicability of which transcends all geographical boundaries, cultures, casts, colors and creeds.
  • GITA is the simplest way to understand the divine message given by GOD to mankind.
  • GITA is well withstood the tests of time. It must be read, re-read over and over again to be really understood to facilitate a life of delightful existence.
  • GITA is both work of art & science. It does not require as to leave our job or homes, does not disturb our religion and beliefs.
  • GITA’s principal object is to illuminate our paths and strengthen our faith. Its objective is to free us from worry and anxiety and to protect us from our basic instincts and land divinity to our simple human existence. The central objective of GITA is to remove our ignorance about life. It teaches us to forsake fear and frustrations and face failure
  • GITA teaches us reality that makes life more meaningful, stable, peaceful and purposeful. It discards layers after layers of untruth & false that surrounds us and reveals the shining self that exists in all of us.
  • GITA fundamentally deals with three primary teachings which are called three secrets.
  1. One must do one’s duty in accordance with one’s nature
  2. In every body there is real and hidden self which is different from the external false self. We must realize this difference between the outer self and inner self.
  3. Omnipresence of GOD. One must live in this world with the awareness that all that exists in this world is BUT ONLY “VASUDEVA”.
  • The Kurukshetra was symbolizes the state of the human mind, which is a battlefield where the fight of God & Evil forces are constantly on. The GITA starts with two words ‘Dharamakshetra & Kurukshetra’ which signify the domain of dharma or righteousness and the domain of adharma or wrongful actions respectively.
  • The more we read GITA, the greater is our insight into its deepest secrets. It is a classic example of the famous proverb “the more we know, the less we know”. It is an ocean of knowledge.
  • Difficulties make a person stronger. We can progress in life if we have faced difficulties. The greatness always stems from hardship and difficulties.
  • Our problems, difficulties, impediments and obstacles are nothing but stepping stones to success and not stumbling blocks as one normally treats them.
  • Our determination to stay put on the path of righteousness rest assured that LORD will provide invisible forces within the person not only to survive but to emerge successful. If all doors seem to close down from all sides, have confidence in god and there will be somewhere some window for you.
  • Support from the enemy camp for righteous is not unusual. If we are right and correct, never lose hope. One must remain steadfast and upright in his stand and what he believe to be right irrespective of resistance and opposition.
  • One should not compromise or buckle under pressure if one is confident that he is in the right direction. Almighty will send support from the most unexpected quarters.
  • Meditation is complete only when pride, ego, jealous and anger are eliminated. By meditation crush your ego and control your anger so that neither could overpower you.
